DPS District ICAP Curriculum: Your Pathway to Success

At Delta High School, our DPS District ICAP Curriculum is designed to provide a personalized educational experience that prepares students for academic excellence and future career opportunities. By creating tailored learning plans, we help students explore diverse career options, develop essential skills, and receive ongoing support. Our focus is on fostering self-awareness, goal-setting, and strategic planning, empowering students to make informed decisions and thrive in an ever-evolving world

At our school, we utilize a variety of assessments throughout the year to monitor student growth, inform instruction, and prepare students for college and career success:

  • MAP Testing (Measures of Academic Progress): Administered in Fall, Winter, and Spring, MAP tests provide detailed insights into students' understanding of key subjects, allowing teachers to tailor instruction to meet individual needs.

  • Accuplacer Testing: Conducted in the Fall with recommendations provided in the Spring, this assessment evaluates students' readiness for college-level coursework in reading, math, and writing, guiding placement decisions.

  •  PSAT/NMSQT Testing: Held in the Fall, the PSAT/NMSQT helps students practice for the SAT, explore scholarship opportunities, and assess college readiness.

  • SAT Testing: Conducted in the Spring, the SAT is a critical standardized test used for college admissions and scholarship applications.

  • CLEP (College-Level Examination Program): Offered in the Winter, CLEP allows students to earn college credit by demonstrating knowledge of introductory-level college subjects, helping them save time and money in their college journey.

These assessments provide valuable data to support student achievement, guide instruction, and ensure students are well-prepared for their future academic and professional pursuits.
