Academic Expectations
DELTA High School has the highest academic standards for all students. Courses will be rigorous and students are expected to always give their best effort and complete high-quality work, based on standards and competencies. DELTA High School teachers strive to create an environment of academic rigor that will prepare students to excel in college, careers, and life.
Students are expected to actively engage in learning by observing the following practices:
- Be on time for class and limit absences due to illness/injury or other emergencies.
- Actively promote learning by participating willingly in the lesson of the day and by refraining from disruptive conduct.
- Bring all necessary materials to class including textbooks, notebooks, pens, pencils, paper, materials required by teachers, and homework.
- All homework assignments should be neat, clean, and legible. Homework should be handed in on time and done to the best of the student’s ability.
